People talk about "stability" biggest load of crap. Big companies tell you this crap. So you become a cooperate slave working for some foriegn company with the few crumbs they throw at you. Meanwhile if the economy in USA goes to crap, you will come to work and find out you no longer have a job.
Only things in life that are stable are death and taxes.

On the other hand working for yourself is hard work sometimes. You have to think for yourself. Prime example is a guy I was talking to online who I am considering to get as marketing expert. I found a good affiliate for a certain niche. I then ask him, to make me a site that will convert (as in get sales). He asks how should he do that. To put it bluntly I do not really care, just as long as it is legal. That is his job to figger out how to do that, not mine. If i knew how to get higher conversion, i would not be looking for a marketing expert.

What skills do you have ?
Make a website displaying your skills, advertise yourself.
Also if you are designer/writer/programmer make have your site show examples of this work.

If someone asks you to do ______, and wants a price estimate, give him a definite answer how much you will charge. As for first time work for client, probably you can not charge too much since trust is not very high etc.

I will not "help" you, I am not a charity.
But on the other hand if you show me how your skills can make me money I can provide you with work.
I am always looking for new niches etc. Send me examples of what niches I can profit from and how you plan to convert them. Right now I am thinking of expanding into payday loan, loans etc. I can get traffic, but i need a place to send traffic to get it to convert.

Also from PPC bids I know approx what rate traffic should convert at. Your site should convert at higher then PPC bids (otherwise i will just sell traffic). Also I ussually send traffic to several different destinations, that way I can see how traffic converts using different methods. Site constructed should convert at 2x default landing pages.

Initially for first site I will not pay right. Good copy is not nessarily good english, good copy is copy that sells. Fancy graphics do not sell crap.

If first site u makes converts well, then I will be open to a suggestion of paying a percentage of sales etc.

Anyway my 2 cents :)
