I would like to know how much would
PC.com cost?
and
PC.ph cost?
ok just to clarify, are you just comparing the TLD? or also the type of domain, eg 2 letter, also do you mean secondary market value, or the cost direct from the registrar?
anyway registrar cost PC.com is like $9.29 at Namecheap.com
$9.99 at godaddy
a place like fabulous.com might be cheaper
.PH on the other hand is $70 for 2 years straight from the main registrar dotPH Inc - http://www.domains.ph/
It can be gotten cheaper like $30 a year from a place like ploghost.com or ctcd.com
If we're talking secondary market , ie reselling the domain, depends on who you are selling to, domainers usually just calculate how much the domain earns in a year x a certain multiplier and also how much traffic it gets from type ins. Generally the .com would earn more but in some cases .ph can earn more, the only way you would know is if you parked the domain with a place like fabulous.com, (sedo doesnt earn much in my experience).
if you're asking reselling based on just the TLD, .com is worth way more if you compare the same names on both TLD's, ofcourse that's because the market is very small still here in the Philippines for domain sales and development, but it will be growing no doubt in the near future.
in the end if reselling the domain is only worth as much as someone is willing to pay, a good gauge to know what price to sell your domain at is to visit domain forums like domainstate.com, dnforum.com, sedo.com, afternic.com and other sales places so you can see what prices similar names sell for.
another thing if the name is a typo or a trademark expect buyers to be wary of paying a high amount cause it could be taken away very easily by a WIPO arbitration.
anyway i know im going a bit far here but i feel like typing so anyway the PH domain market is nowhere near what the top ccTLDs are but it is getting there and will go there, ccTLDs can price the same as .com and .net or even higher, if you check dnjournal.com for sale #s, .DE, .ES, .CO.UK and other ccTLDs can be seen selling for hundreds of thousands of dollars just like .com domains. It all depends on the market for that ccTLD and that depends on the local market of that country. In the whole scope of things, in a recent domain name report released by Nominet (.UK ccTLD registry) there are some interesting points:
—- Most popular and successful of the gTLDs is.com which enjoys a 48% share of the whole market
—- sTLD market share is currently negligible at less than 0.5% of the market, or 650k domain names, with 568,000 of these registrations for .mobi
—- British Internet users are six times more likely to choose a .uk rather than .com address when looking for information via an Internet search engine.
-- ccTLDs account for 36% of global domain name registrations
-- top 20 ccTLDs account for 83% of all ccTLDs and 30% of global registrations
-- top 5 ccTLDs (Germany, China, United Kingdom, Netherlands and European Union) account for 55% of all ccTLDs and 20% of global registrations
-- movement within the top 20 ccTLDs is dominated by domain name growth in emerging economies such as China, Republic of Korea and the Russian Federation
-- the introduction of .eu in December 2005 saw almost 2.5 million domain names registered in the first year, however, this growth has not been sustained with 2007 growth currently only at 1.25% suggesting registration was a ‘virtual landgrab’ motivated by defensive registrations to protect existing brands within this new TLD space
-- ccTLD registrations correlate closely to GDP, however, a number of countries significantly ‘punch above their weight’ e.g. Netherlands ranking 4th in domain name volume yet 16th in GDP and Argentina 7th in domain name volume and 31st in GDP while Japan, Canada and France underperform in registrations versus GDP
-- the countries of Northern Europe dominate in terms of market penetration by population, with five countries achieving more than 100 domain name registrations per 1,000 inhabitants

mahal talga yan brader.. ewan ko din kung bakit
is this theoretical?
if you do have a 2 letter .com i want to make an offer on it now, if you can pm me what it is.
if its a 2 letter .ph, i'd like to know what it is, i might want it also, i only know of 2 .com.ph's mb.com.ph and tv.com.ph ,
comparing the price, 2 letter .com is so rare to be for sale, it will be worth tons.
2 letter .ph on the other hand as i explained is worth depending on the market, and the .ph market isnt very big yet, so its worth as much as someone is willing to pay which isnt very much compared to 2 letter .com
so is this all speculative or do you have something that can be purchased? :) im curious

yes its theoretical as i havent purchased it yet.
the domain name is very common, as common as IT.ph or PC.ph but as you may know cctld costs more than tld
how much kaya yan if i sell it?

wow sarap naman nyan....
are we talking .ph ? AFAIK there is no 2 letter .ph registered , only .com.ph, they discountinued selling 2 letter .com.ph after 1999 or something and thats when .ph went on sale and it started as 3 letters I believe was the minimum. if we are talking .ph and its 2 letters, and you havent bought it yet but you want to know how much, i can give you an estimate by pm but honestly if its like ab.ph which means nothing mostly, i probably wouldnt value it so highly yet, unless it means something like tv.ph or something. I dont understand how you havent purchased it yet? where is it for sale? guess you want to keep that a secret.

Right, AFAIK, the .PH NIC doesn't commercially offer 2 letter registrations to the public, non unless, I think, if you can manage to get an exlusive deal like Manila Bulletin did.
Also, 2 letter .com usually costs over 6-figures aftermarket value. In 2005, I contact the whois registrant of SM.com and asked if it's for sale, hoping to have a brokerage deal with shoemart, and I received a reply that it is available for acquisition for $300K + Escrow fees.
So far, it is now impossible to register and renew 2 letter or character gTLD so anyone who would like to own one of these can only buy through the aftermarkets.

good reading,thanks guys :)
last three questions
say the extension is .tk
how much would
it.tk cost in figures
and
business.co.tk in figures
and
express.tk in figures
thanks
300k? wow
as for TK, im confused now were talking about TK?
if its TK , for me TK doesnt mean anything and judging by sales listings in dnjournal.com TK doesnt sell for much either. So its just worth how much someone is willing to pay, i dunno if the TK country people are so into their domains but i know it was free before or still is? maybe someone would pay $500 for those domains, maybe someone wont pay anything at all, best bet is to list it for sale on afternic, sedo, and wherever else, forums etc and see if you get a bite.
there are so many ccTLDs out there and not all are worth anything. It all depends on the market, i dont see any market for TK, even PH has more market I would say.
A search on afternic http://www.afternic.com/names.php?s=&tld%5B%5D=tk&sta=0&c=0&lop=&hip=&slength=&length=&within=0&ipp=25&sortby=r shows people looking to sell .TK domains for $3-5k though i doubt they sell for that much. Looking at the DNJournal Yearly sales charts (while not an exact list of all domains sold but lists public names sold for high prices) shows no mention of .TK anywhere
http://dnjournal.com/archive/domainsales/2006/ytd-sales-charts-2006.htm
http://dnjournal.com/ytd-sales-charts.htm
So based on the extension, worth very little, maybe if it has traffic its worth atleast something.
I'd say max the domain would sell for is $500
? some ccTLDs are worth more than others, del.icio.us is different.
anyway main way to price any domains worth is to see how much traffic it receives.
