Affiliate Setup?

Someone told me that its better to have completely different affiliate links with different affiliate accounts so the sites look completely different. Any Advise?

How can a different affiliate link will change the look of a site? Assuming you're promoting the same product, bringing users to the same landing page, using two different account.
